# Apple Wallet

Clients can save SimpleSpa gift certificates to Apple Wallet and redeem them by QR code at checkout.

This page explains how clients can save gift certificates to Apple Wallet and how you scan them at checkout.

## SimpleSpa Gift Certificates can now be saved directly to Apple Wallet

* All gift certificates now include an **Add to Apple Wallet** button in the emails sent to the recipient.

* The pass shows:
  * Gift value
  * Unique redemption code
  * QR code for fast scanning
  * Business branding (theme color)

Clients can also use **Add to Apple Wallet** at the end of their checkout once the certificate has been issued. The certificate details are filled in automatically before it is added to their wallet.

Clients can easily share an added certificate using the share option in iOS.

### Why This Is Awesome

* **Convenient access:** Clients don't need to dig through their email.
* **Works offline:** No Wi-Fi is needed at redemption time.
* **Beautiful and professional:** Branded with your business's look.
* **Scan-to-redeem:** Works with QR scanning at the POS.

## The Gift Certificate Flow

1. 🎁 A client purchases or receives a gift certificate.
2. 📧 They receive a confirmation email with:
   * The gift code
   * A link to a branded preview page
   * An **Add to Apple Wallet** button
3. 🍏 They tap the button, preview the pass and add it to Wallet.
4. 🏪 When they visit your spa, they:
   * Open their Wallet
   * Show the pass QR code at checkout
5. 🎯 You scan the QR code using your POS or camera, and it fills in the code automatically.

## QR Code Scanning at Checkout

You can scan a gift certificate QR code using:

* 📷 A camera on your POS computer or tablet
* 🔘 The built-in **Scan with Camera** button
* 🎯 Your terminal scanner (if enabled)

The gift code is detected automatically and entered in the gift certificate field. No typing is required.
