# Managing Products

Add and edit product categories, products and product images.

This page explains how to add and edit product categories, products and product images.

When you add a product, you can set its details, including name, price, special price, tax rate and notes, along with the other settings listed below.

## Adding Product Categories

Every product must belong to a category, so you need to create a category before you can add a product.

1. Press the **Add Category** ![](https://695085455-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fa9tSKQ7Cexg8YEba5Evb%2Fuploads%2Fe1We57HvVaLZIaVlL74C%2FCategory.webp?alt=media\&token=aa27d35c-a41f-4c5b-a898-b0ef5908e456) button and enter a category name.
2. Once the category is added, it appears in your list. You can now add products to it (see [Adding Products](#adding-products) below).

## Editing Product Categories

To edit a product category, press the ![](https://695085455-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fa9tSKQ7Cexg8YEba5Evb%2Fuploads%2FjINBIRBAqNRJdAjzLTtt%2FDown%20Arrow%20Button.webp?alt=media\&token=05268d3d-321e-4ec6-8af6-a71172eaedfb) button next to the **Add Category** button. A popup opens where you can edit the category name.

## Adding Products

## Adding Images

1. Click the product to edit it.
2. Click the round **Camera** ![](https://695085455-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fa9tSKQ7Cexg8YEba5Evb%2Fuploads%2Fbf6XNFoFBYncCkVLmjUS%2FCamera%20Button.webp?alt=media\&token=86368eb5-1602-4641-a456-2f2372140777) button, then select or capture an image for the product.

## Editing Products
