# Revenue & Sales Reports

Revenue, transactions, services, popular services, products and busiest hours.

All of these reports use the shared date range, tiles, chart, **Download CSV** and **Print**. See [Reports](/simplespa-documentation/reports-and-marketing/reports.md).

## Revenue

Revenue matches the **Daily Report** on your dashboard:

> **Revenue = payments − tips − gift card redemptions**

Gift card redemptions are left out because the money was already counted when the gift card was sold.

| Part                   | What it shows                                                                                                                                                                                                               |
| ---------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Tiles**              | Revenue (excluding tips), Receipts, Average ticket and Tips, each compared with the other period.                                                                                                                           |
| **Where it came from** | Revenue split into services, products, and gift cards, packages and memberships. Updated overnight, through yesterday.                                                                                                      |
| **Table**              | Day by day (or month by month for long ranges), with a column for each payment method plus tips, tax, gift card redemptions, receipts and average ticket. Days with no sales are hidden, and the last row shows the totals. |

## Transactions

Lists every receipt in the date range. Use the **Show** menu next to the date range to narrow the list:

* All transactions
* Services only
* Products only
* Gift cards / certificates
* Packages sold, Packages used or Packages refunded
* Refunds only

Your choice stays in place when you change the dates.

The **Show** filter only changes the list of receipts. The tiles and chart still count every type of transaction.

## Services and Popular Services

* **Services** shows booked value, number performed, average price and revenue per hour for each service.
* **Popular Services** (on the Revenue tab) ranks your most booked services for the date range. Each one shows a trend badge comparing it with the previous period of the same length (**NEW** if it had no earlier bookings), its average duration and its revenue.
* **Category Value** shows the same figures by service category.

## Products

* **Product Revenue**: what each product earned.
* **Product Inventory** and **Stock Value**: what you have in stock and what it's worth.

## Appointments by Hour

Highlights your busiest and quietest hours, so you can plan staffing and promotions.

## Expenses
