This page explains how to block out time on the appointment calendar and how to move or resize a block. ## Blocking out slots 1. On the calendar, click the start slot and drag to the end slot to select two or more slots. 2. A popup asks whether you want to block the time or create an appointment. Add any notes, then press **BLOCK**. Once a block is set, those slots are no longer available for online bookings. If you use the appointment wizard to schedule a new appointment during the blocked time, the time shows as occupied, with an option to overbook.

The appointment wizard has a discreet BLOCK button. It creates a 15-minute (or default slot duration) block on the calendar for the selected staff/provider.
