# Managing Discounts
Create and edit discount profiles, such as a VIP discount for a group of clients.
This page explains how to add and edit discount profiles.
Discount profiles make it easy to give a discount to a group of clients. For example, you could create a VIP member discount that gives 10% off purchases at checkout, then assign it to your VIP clients.

By default, the percentage or amount is applied to all services and products in the client's cart at checkout.

To apply a discount only to services or only to products, first set up the discount profile, then contact the support team to adjust it for you. Give them the exact discount name and say whether it should apply only to products or only to services.

## Edit Discount Profile
To edit a discount profile, go to the **Discount Profile** page and press the pencil button. The **Edit Discount Profile** prompt opens.
